Simulator Workshop
The HARMONI simulator was developed to provide a tool for realistic performance simulations with HARMONI on the E-ELT (Zieleniewski et al. in prep.). On the final days of the workshop (Thursday afternoon to Friday), we'll be holding a hands-on introductory session to the HARMONI simulator. The Simulator was written in Python and will be publicly released before the workshop. In this session we will cover:
- How to produce an input cube
- The Simulator workflow and input parameters
- The Simulator output data products
The software has been tested on Python 2.7.x. Further package requirements are: numpy, scipy, matplotlib, astropy, pprocess. To run the Simulator from the GUI, you will need the wxPython package.
Please email Sarah Kendrew if you have questions, comments or requests for the workshop.
